The Basics

What Do "Big" and "Small" Mean in EKOR 4D?

Every time you place an EKOR 4D bet at xe8, you choose one of two bet types: Big (also called Big Forecast) or Small (Small Forecast). The 4-digit number you pick doesn't change — what changes is which prize tiers that number is eligible to win, and how much each tier pays.

Think of it as a tradeoff between breadth and payout. Big spreads your number across more prize tiers, so it wins in more ways, but each individual win pays less. Small narrows your number down to the top tiers only, so it wins in fewer ways, but pays more when it does. Neither one changes your odds of a specific number being drawn — that's fixed by the draw itself. For the full mechanics of how EKOR 4D works from the ground up, see the main EKOR 4D guide.

Big Forecast

How a Big Bet Works

A Big bet covers all five EKOR 4D prize tiers — 1st, 2nd, 3rd, Starter and Consolation — giving your number 23 separate chances to win on a single draw.

Because a Big bet pays out across every tier, it suits players who'd rather have more frequent opportunities to land a win, even if any single win is smaller than it would be with Small. If your number is drawn anywhere in the Starter or Consolation tiers, a Big bet still pays — a Small bet on the same number would not.

Small Forecast

How a Small Bet Works

A Small bet narrows the field to just the top three prize tiers — 1st, 2nd and 3rd — but pays more when it hits.

For 1st Prize, a Small bet pays RM3,500 per RM1 staked, compared with RM2,500 per RM1 staked on a Big bet for the same tier. The tradeoff: if your number is only drawn in the Starter or Consolation tiers, a Small bet does not pay at all, since Small only covers 1st, 2nd and 3rd Prize.

The real tradeoff
Small isn't "better" than Big — it concentrates your payout on fewer winning outcomes. Fewer ways to win, bigger payout on the ones that count.

Making Your Choice

Which Should You Play — Big or Small?

There's no universally "correct" choice — it comes down to the kind of outcome you'd rather have.

If you'd rather have more frequent chances at a win across a broader set of outcomes, Big gives your number 23 chances per draw. If you're comfortable with fewer ways to win in exchange for a larger payout when you do, Small concentrates on the top three tiers only. Some players place both bet types on the same number in the same draw, covering all five tiers through Big while adding the higher Small payout on the top three.

Play responsibly
Neither bet type changes the odds of any individual number being drawn — Big and Small only change which prize tiers a winning number can pay from. Bet only what you can afford to lose. xe8 offers deposit limits and self-exclusion tools if you'd like to manage your play — see the Responsible Gambling page.
